Firebird

My soul is azure blue
and peacock green within

with eyes of dancing turquoise
and bands of blackest sin

a flame with possibilities
like shimmering shantung

like Shiva's shining sari
or Krishna's gleaming skin

an eye within an eye
an iridescent wing

forever fanning out
forever folding in.
